China’s women are big spenders
The article “China’s women are big spenders” talks about Chinese women as a big spenders. Many Chinese women are spending most of their income at malls or online for shop. Largely, they spent most of their cash on clothes, digital goodies, and travel. They also use their money on cosmetics and health-related items. The younger urban middle class is not saving for in case. I know that young people love to dress awesome clothes up and I also know that they willing to travel to somewhere where they can enjoy and take some time off even it is a single day. I don’t want to say that having a mind to buy what they want is wrong. However, I think using a lot of money on buying those things and to do what they want without self-control till there is no money to save for in case is a ghastly mistake that they make in their life. If they do not save any money for their later life, I think it is the big mistake and this mistake could have serious consequences in their later life.
I'd certainly agree with you that while each of us has the right to spend our own money the way we want, self-control is important. When one is out there in a shopping centre, with nice things to buy, and one is equipped with a credit card, it's all too easy to spend without self-control. Yet, as you've pointed out, it's important to make the effort to save. One never quite knows what the future will bring, after all!
